I just took a webinar from Toni and Guy about classic haircuts and I learned soooo much! The webinar gave me some tips on how to cut three classic styles that will look great on anyone.
The first is called Forward Graduation.
Facial tapering is perfect for adding a new, fresh appearance to long, one-length hair. Adding graduated layers around the face can give your hair the pick-me-up you've been craving without a dramatic change.
The second is Round Layers.
This cute, short cut is so fun! It's loaded with soft, shaggy movement and tons of texture to play with. The perfect length for maintaining an edgy but glamorous style.
Last is the Classic Undercut.
This cut is perfect for those of you with lots of hair! It's shorter on the underneath, to give you more movement and weight distribution through the top. This haircut looks great styled forward or back and is very versatile.
So if you're looking for a personalized, classic haircut that is super stylish, call to make an appointment today with me at Elevate Salon (208) 354-0275.

Styling Starts in the Shower
Do you ever wonder why it is you can't get the right bounce to your curls, smooth your frizz to a perfectly straight texture or create awesome waves? Maybe your color fades drastically within the first three weeks. Your problem, without a doubt, is the shampoo and conditioner you're using. The ingredients in many store-brand shampoos and conditioners can dry your hair out by stripping it of the natural oils and lead to buildup on the strands. Using professional grade products will help keep your hair healthy, soft, strong and under control.
To get your best styled hair and great color protection (especially with reds), you need to use professional products from start to finish. Redken, TIGI, CHI, Sexyhair and Paul Mitchell all have wonderful options for color treated, blonde, straight, curly and damaged hair. If you style your hair differently every day, it might be worth it to invest in one set for curly hair and one set for straight hair. The ingredients in these products help you style your hair in the texture that you want.
Even men should use a professional shampoo and conditioner. Redken, CHI, and Bed Head all have lines of products that are formulated especially for men! Some of the options include two-in-one conditioning shampoo, formulas for fine or thinning hair, formulas for color treated hair, daily care and sensational mint shampoo and conditioner. Most lines also have the styling products you love to match!
So next time you're having a bad hair day, spend the extra three dollars and go to your nearest salon to buy some professional shampoo and conditioner. You won't regret it!
*Bring in your generic brand shampoo and conditioner to trade and save $2 on select Redken shampoos and conditioners that I offer at Elevate Salon!*
